Frequently Asked Questions
-
Absolutely! I offer roughly 15-20 portrait slots each month. While I typically open commissions in the month prior (e.g. booking July commissions in June), you can always request a specific future month. I book out further for the holidays, so keep an eye out after September for updates there!
I do require 100% of payment up front to secure a commission spot. Sadly, as a small business I can’t accommodate partial deposits at this time.
-
No problem! When I respond to commission requests, one of the questions I ask is whether you need your painting by a specific day.
If you request a specific date at least a month in advance, there is no additional charge.
I can accommodate quick-turn requests less than a month out, however, I do charge a $100 rush fee. ($75 fee + $25 rush shipping)
-
I ship paintings in a sealed plastic sleeve inside a USPS Express Envelope. Typical shipping estimates with USPS Express are 2-5 days. I will provide you with a tracking number when shipped.
-
Unfortunately, not at this time. But I’ll keep you posted!
-
While I utilized only shipping services with tracking capabilities, shipping issues can happen. In over 6 years of painting portraits, I have only ever had one get lost in the mail.
If the delivery fails due to a wrong or incomplete address, I will be unable to offer any refunds or discounts. I am happy to resend any paintings that are returned to me by USPS, I’ll just ask for a correct address and shipping costs (~$20).
If it is lost due to no one’s fault but USPS, I will repaint and resend the painting at no charge.

I work very, very hard to make sure everyone I work with is happy with their order. I operate my studio with integrity, and would never send out a painting that I didn’t put my 100% in to.
To avoid any differences in expectations, I do a lot of communicating up front. Including getting approvals on mockups and providing an order summary with all of the details discussed so we’re on the same page.
That being said, I know art can be subjective. Every reference photo is different and each painting is unique!
As a small business owner, I am unable to offer refunds on completed work. However, if this ever comes up I would absolutely work to find the best solution (such as a discounted future commission).
